Free three-way balance check
Compare the adjusted bank balance, trust control balance and consignor total.
Auction trust accounting has enough moving parts. SaleLedger brings your settlement records, your bank statement, and your reconciliation into one local workflow.
For auction houses and auctioneers. Built to keep consignor and bank data on your own computer.
Set up your auction once. Bring in each month's records. Keep the evidence that explains the result.
Your Auction Flex settlement export, a QuickBooks/IIF file, and your bank statement — CSV, Excel, or OFX/QFX.
Bank balance, settlement records, and what's owed to consignors — checked three ways. Every gap gets an explicit exception.
A report, a check register, and a history of every period reconciled — ready if your state board ever asks to look.
Your reporting workflow runs on your own computer. No consignor uploads. The only thing the app ever sends is your license key, to confirm your subscription.
The reconciliation engine works with records on your machine. Bank balances, consignor names, and account numbers stay yours.
Exact decimal math, not estimates. The same evidence produces the same result, every time you run it.
When a transaction can't be confidently matched, SaleLedger says so by name. It never assumes an explanation for you.
Most states don't require a periodic filing — they reserve the right to examine your trust account whenever they choose. Being able to prove it's right isn't optional.
"Shall reconcile the trust account in writing each month... shall maintain a check register... date, payee, number... and the amount."
Gross proceeds, itemized expenses, a list of all purchasers, and the selling price of every item sold — retained a minimum of two years.
"The licensee shall keep detailed records that show deposits, withdrawals, and interest accrued" in the client trust account.
A journal is required showing escrow receipts and disbursements in chronological order, with a running balance after each entry.
SaleLedger does monthly trust-account reconciliation for auction businesses. It does that thoroughly and nothing else.

No. SaleLedger processes your settlement records and bank statement locally. Nothing is uploaded to us as part of running a reconciliation. The app does make one small call about every six hours — sending only your license key — to confirm your subscription is active. If you're offline, it keeps working for a week on the last confirmation.
No. Most states don't require a periodic filing for auction trust accounts — they reserve the right to examine the account directly. SaleLedger prepares your records so you're ready if that happens; it doesn't submit anything on your behalf.
It's flagged by name for your review — an unauthorized deduction, a disbursement mismatch, stale funds, and so on. SaleLedger never guesses an explanation or silently resolves a discrepancy for you.
Consignor Summary, Consignment Order-level, and item-level exports, combined with a QuickBooks/IIF file for transaction dates. If your export doesn't match cleanly, tell us — this is actively being built around real feedback.
Your email address and a Windows computer. Verify your email to receive your trial license key, then download and activate the app. No card or automatic renewal.
